Navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. If you’re managing an NDIS plan, working with a Plan Manager can offer so many benefits, making your NDIS journey less complex while maximising your budget to suit you.
WHAT IS AN NDIS PLAN MANAGER?
An NDIS Plan Manager is a professional who supports participants by handling the financial and administrative side of their NDIS plan. They act as a bridge between you, your service providers, and the NDIS, making your journey stress-free.
WHAT DOES AN NDIS PLAN MANGER DO?
- Receiving invoices/bills to pay directly from the provider once service has been provided or via reimbursement to the participant.
- Facilitating the participants claims from NDIS Portal – uploading the information and creating the payment requests, allocating to line items and confirming prices according to the NDIS Price Guide
- Ensuring the participant is aware if the service can be claimed via NDIS funding before engaging in the service. This is completed through assessing the connection with the participants goals outlined in their NDIS Plan.
- Paying Invoices and allocating the correct expense to the participant’s funding
- Providing monthly statements to the participant including a summary of expenditure and breakdown of the budget totals remaining
WHY CHOOSE A PLAN MANAGER?
Managing your NDIS plan can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you’re balancing it with other responsibilities. That’s where a Plan Manager can make all the difference. They allow you to enjoy the flexibility of self-management—choosing providers that work best for you—without the stress of handling invoices, payments, and budgets. With their professional support, navigating the complexities of the NDIS becomes much simpler. Plan Managers take care of the administrative side, so you can focus on what truly matters: achieving your goals and improving your quality of life.
WHO CAN USE A PLAN MANAGER?
Any NDIS participant can request Plan Management as part of their funding. It is included under the “Improved Life Choices” category, and there’s no cost to you—Plan Management fees are covered by the NDIS.
